چکیده

Irrigated rice cultivation is an important source of greenhouse gas emissions. Among the main gases, there are carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, with emission each varying according to management crop, cultivar irrigation management. In this context, present study aimed quantify partial global warming potential (pGWP) measured by CH4 N2O emissions in conventional hybrid cultivars under two management, as well relation grain yield (pGWP/Y). For this, a field experiment was conducted during 2016/17 2017/18 crop seasons, experimental design randomized blocks factorial arrangement (2×4), four replications using water cultivars. The managed through permanent intermittent irrigation, one (IRGA 424 RI) three (XP 113, Titan CL Lexus CL). pGWP can be reduced up 18% depending on used 11.8% adoption More than 90% due methane emission, actions should directed towards mitigation gas. pGWP/Y index, XP 113 had presented best results.

Optimal fertilizer nitrogen rates and yield-scaled global warming potential in drill seeded rice.

Drill seeded rice ( L.) is the dominant rice cultivation practice in the United States. Although drill seeded systems can lead to significant CH and NO emissions due to anaerobic and aerobic soil conditions, the relationship between high-yielding management practices, particularly fertilizer N management, and total global warming potential (GWP) remains unclear. We conducted three field experim...

Effect of Intermittent Drainage on Nitrous Oxide Emission and Global Warming Potential in Rice Paddy Soil

Water control is mainly one of the key factors that can affect nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from soils. This study was undertaken to determine the effect of intermittent drainage compared to continuous flooding (conventional water regime) on N2O emission to global warming potential (GWP) with NPK (standard cultivation practice), NPK+Straw, and PK fertilizations. Nitrous oxide emission rates we...
